Green Fingers at Our House Sitting on Bowen Island

When house sitting you can be required to perform many daily chores or none, it just depends on the type of home you get to sit. In our house sitting opportunity here on beautiful Bowen Island in British Columbia we have been requested to tend to the garden.

Day 105 – June 15th.

My expert green fingers are being put to the test, well maybe not expert, but I’m trying my best. Actually I’m very proud of my little gardening experience and will show off some of the goodies that are flourishing under my due attention and care.

What prompted me to write this post was that I’m sat here now enjoying some of the fruits of my labour, pun intended.

These raspberries and strawberries are so tasty, it makes me question what is going on those supermarket varieties that taste so different in a negative way!!!

The weather has been perfect for growth with plenty of rain and sunshine so I can’t take all the credit. Did I also forget to mention that a professional gardener comes once a week to ensure I’ve kept up my end of the bargain.

I know it did sound too good to be true… Happy days.
